Annual Eye Exams in Maple Glen, PA

Annual eye exams are an important part of preventive health care. Whether you wear glasses or not, routine checkups help track vision changes, update prescriptions, and detect eye conditions early, before symptoms show up.

Routine Exams for Clearer Vision & Long-Term Eye Health

We provide eye exams for children, teens, adults, and older patients based on your needs. An annual eye exam includes more than just a prescription check. It’s an opportunity to evaluate your eye health, talk through symptoms, and screen for conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

If it’s been more than a year since your last eye exam, or if you’ve noticed changes in your vision, we’re here to help you get back on track.

What’s Included in a Comprehensive Eye Exam

Your exam will include:

  • Vision testing for near and distance clarity
  • Prescription evaluation for glasses or contacts
  • Eye pressure screening (glaucoma)
  • Internal and external eye health evaluation
  • Pupil response and peripheral vision screening
  • Retina imaging (when recommended)

We will also ask about your medical history, screen for any symptoms you might not have noticed, and talk through any questions you have.

Eye Exams for Children & Teens

We begin offering pediatric eye exams at age 5 and adjust our approach based on your child’s needs.

We check visual acuity, eye tracking, depth perception, and signs of early myopia (nearsightedness), and provide prescriptions for glasses or contact lenses if needed.

Eye Exams for Adults & Seniors

In adulthood, regular exams help keep prescriptions accurate and track subtle vision changes that may indicate early signs of chronic conditions.

For seniors, we pay close attention to cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye, and systemic issues like diabetes or high blood pressure that can affect vision.

Diagnostic Imaging & Testing Tools

We use advanced diagnostic tools like OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), Optomap® retinal imaging, and visual field testing when needed.

These help us monitor long-term changes, detect subtle issues early, and provide a more complete picture of your eye health.
